Viva Multicolor Hand-blown Glass Necklace

Hand-blown glass beads in vivid tones and playful colors. This show-stopping necklace is 18" long and features a sterling silver clasp. Each bead is one-of-a-kind, hand-blown glass, the largest measuring 1 1/2 inches in diameter and smallest measuring 3/4 inch in diameter.

About the Artist: Alicia Niles was born in Venezuela but calls Hamilton, Canada her home. Alicia pursued her education and training at John Abbott College, Mount Allison University, the Ontario College of Art and Design, and George Brown College. In 2003 Alicia chose to further explore the intersection of beauty and design when she fell in love with glass, and eventually lampworking and bead-making. She pursued her explorations in glass through classes at Sheridan College. In 2013 Alicia opened Barton Street Studio, a studio and gallery space at 20 Barton Street East in Hamilton, Ontario. Alicia divides her time between her studio work and doing shows all across Canada and the United States. Alicia finds inspiration for her colorful jewelry designs from the natural world around her, from her passion for gardening, and her love of the sea.
